Chronic forum sock-puppet paranoia or CFSPP is actually an expression of vanity and insult on the part of the paranoid.
To feel oneself to be an object of such interest and attention that someone would actually invest so much time in fucking with them (whether for good or bad) by spending ungodly amounts of time posting as various sock-puppets.
The insult is a secondary effect of the vanity; it tells the imagined puppeteer that he’d be banal enough to have any interest in such a ridiculous person in the first place.

I don’t bother with it, at all. I give occasional spontaneous gifts all year round, as soon as I spot something appropriate for a certain person. My friends and family are aware of this, and don’t expect anything from me at this time. I’m not against religious beliefs, and I believe that Jesus was an extremely important individual, and he should be celebrated. But that’s not really what it’s about, is it? Many people enjoy the experience, personally I enjoy coming in contact with my family again and just talking to them and enjoying their company. That’s my Christmas present.

My Christmas shopping involves buying gifts for myself, luxury food items for myself and anyone who may pass by to visit during the festive season, and buying things for the house.
.
My family and I used to have large Christmas gatherings and such, but now that the younger generation have immediate families of their own we tend to visit each other separately during the festive season rather than making one big event, but.. we have said that one day we are going to have one big family Christmas family gathering altogether involving food drink music fun and laughter.
