You Must Earn A Living

I find it interesting how the typical traditional conservatives of any country will look down on others speaking of how there is only one right way of earning a living.

They say that in order to enjoy life to the fullest when speaking of upward social mobility one must earn it by right actions, manners, and so on.

All of that of course is bullshit because equality and fairness does not really exist in an inequal competitive society reducing the understanding of earning a living as nothing more than a useful deceptive catchphrase utilized by those in power to controlling the masses.

Was that really necessary, Stoic?

I mean, if he posted it in Mundane, sure, but the OP is a conversation starter suited for SS.

I’m just joking with the joker.

But c’mon he makes like 3 of these a Day. And there all basically the same.

He should be happy that I contribute to most of them. A lot of times I’m the first one to.

lol

I have a friend who judges people’s worth based on their income, well I say friend after I told him to fuck off on facebook I think he might of soured on me. Meh he moved to Kent ages ago, not like I see him any more.

Yes Walker some people really are just dicks, and the worst ones are not those who having been born into wealth who then go on to chastise those who end up or start on the bottom, but those who had to struggle to get anywhere near “the top” and then, as if they have forgotten how hard it was coming from nothing, use themselves as an example of how everyone can succeed, it’s good to have selective blinkers on reality isn’t it? Welcome to the human race.

The only thing you must do is pay your taxes and die.

hmm… your post suggests to me that you equate enjoying life to the fullest with equality and fairness

i don’t see the relation

you are correct in my opinion in saying that equality and fairness do not really exist, but i don’t think they have any impact in the slightest to moving upwards in social class

equality and fairness can help raise the bottom and lower the top in some cases, but unfairness will always be present… someone will always be MORE powerful… MORE enjoying life… MORE class

even if it’s society was socialist, there’d still be inequality and unfairness, smaller differences would just fill the void… they’d become the focal point of “ending social injustice”… it’d change from something like “income inequality” to “his car gets 1 mpg more than mine” … seems like nothing now, but when that’s all you have to care about, it’ll be a big deal

i think moving upwards, socially, is more about proving your usefulness, competence, class (and frankly things like physical attractiveness) … to others (and to self if necessary)
