The arrive to a room on the ground floor of an apartment building. What they see when they open the door astonishes them. I man hung him self in the middle of the room. the odd thing is there were no objects near him which he could have stood on. the only thing in the whole room was a large puddle of water…

easier riddles

He was not watching where he was walking and stepped off a cliff, the bird came from under him.

The man got on the elevator, a broken heart so broken and indeed, a heart just so. The short trip in the metal cube felt the same as every other day since that fateful accident 4 years ago - gray. When it stops and the doors finally opened to reveal the only pain which could save him from his sorrow he nodded at a few of his co-workers and proceeded into the mechanistic paper-storm which awaited in the office.

Emelia is dead, she has been for 4 years. How come he knows that? Cause life is fucking cruel.

Or perhaps he paid to have her killed by an assassin who said. “Ok, now when the elevator stops… she’ll be dead”

Or… Wait, a minute. Who get ‘onto’ an elevator? Clearly this guy is some covert agent whose wife was likely dependent on the elevator maintaining a speed of over 50 miles an hour.

Keanu, it seems, failed.

His wife got crushed by the elevator (?).

Some monk in a temple was ringing the bell. The rope breaks, the bell hits him (on the head or whatever), he dies.

It was the pizza delivery guy.

Oh wait, wrong thread. Sorry.

What do you call these kinds of riddles? Is there any place in the www where I can find more of it?

I think they’re called “lateral thinking” puzzles. I used to have a bunch of books about them.

sorry gobbo…

you’re response made me want to end myself…be wrong none the less

  1. a rope breaks, a bell stops rining and a man dies

what happened/

surely a bell ringing incident!!!

can we have another long and slightly more taxing one, like the first riddle? pleeease

for you, anything

i have to go on holiday give me a day or so

Seriously though,

I know the elevator one and it’s sort of whack #-o

The Wife dies cause she’s on a respirator and the electricity in the building goes out – hence stopping the elevator.

I prefer the speed 3 scenario.

Keanu, Bullock, 45 story building – an elevator that can’t stop!

when when when when when

today

before the end of today i swear
