A movie by David Fincher who also did Se7en and Fight Club.
This movie totally drew me in to the horror that surrounded the Zodiac serial killer back in the 60’s/70’s. I didn’t know anything about it till I saw the film, and it is unfortunate that the crime was never/has not yet been solved. The movie makers made sure that they took all the evidence that the police had to make this movie, and spoke to all the police and other journalists involved at the time (who were still alive). The fact that it was all based on fact made it very creepy - even more so obviously that the man was never caught (although they imply that they feel they know who it was in the film).
Anyone who likes these kinds of films, basically a police drama i suppose - but not glorifying the killer himself (thank goodness), should take a look.
Its not flashy and by no means a hit at the cinema’s, but It certainly makes me wish I’d gone into criminology of some kind - its fascinating.
