Short response to Sartre

Human nature.

We can either discover what it means (if there is discoverable meaning) to be human (to be a neighbor)—and choose that—or we can use creative license to either create historical fiction loosely based on a true story, or create an entirely new genre. All merely modification, though. Reverse engineering at best. Just as destruction is merely change… so is creation. There is nothing new under the sun.

The fact that we can use creative license does not in and of itself rule out that there is discoverable meaning.

Existence/freedom precedes a choice. Full stop.
