MOMENTS OF FLOW

Moments of Flow

The birds, expressive, pierce the silent sky.
A luminous moon so solemnly looks down.
A robin sits in sweet nirvana trance
and leaves respond in lively airy dance.

Round and round those divers pigeons fly.
Among them only one wears white.
What is this nowhere path that leads to bliss,
an instinct honored, a mystic kiss?

Behind a deeply, felt cocoon-like state
a watchful, pensive self peers out.
Betrays an existential need – revealed!
To seek, to reach, to know – that thing concealed!

And then a little boy so suddenly appears.
His smiling face becomes my urge to swallow
for fear he’ll see the tears that well up in my eyes.
He looks intently at me and then he sighs!

This makes me laugh and he laughs too.
“Do you like my shoes?” he asks. So powder blue!
I say “I do” and “I like you too!”
Then he gives me a hug that comes out of the blue.

Then Daddy takes him by his hand. I say
“bye bye” and smile; he says “bye bye” and smiles.
And off they go. He turns once more and then he smiles.
I say “bye bye” and once again his little smile beguiles.

I see the blades of grass, so free, boldly rushing forward.
I feel the conscious pause and play of pain within.
And as fierce winds rise up in mighty god-like force
pain falls upon her knees in sudden sweet remorse.

Dragonflies gliding, creatures of such wondrous nature!
Bronzed wings propelling, shimmer by a Sun’s good graces.
They slowly speak to me within their eloquence so clearly.
“Timeless beauty does return – enjoy each moment freely!”

Stratus sweeping, cirrus bubbles, cumulous billows.
My eyes remain transfixed on misty forms that roam the sky.
The fluid mind within creates an ever-changing canopy imbued
as Earth rotates and clouds evolve a panorama is renewed.

We live surrounded by their ever-gracious, awesome space.
Like pools of inner light reflecting spirits’ breath.
Though trees may stand together, each still stands alone
whispering Amor Fati, in richly fractalled tone.

I sit within the confines of my imagination.
What I sense and what I know can only beg me pause.
So far beyond and vastly unbeknownst to me
Lie swirling mysteries of wonder, such that I shall never see!

My thoughts take wing! I soar! I fly among beloved stars
where flaming splendor penetrates such deeply dark and boundless space!
A distant echo then reflects my vision’s quiet contemplation.
You, too, stand and wander and exist amidst this glorious celebration.
