Have any of you ILPers ever met in real life?

If so, how’d it go

Mixed wish it gone slightly different , remember Stuart? Or did You get to know him? He cAme by my place one time and if I was in my right mind, but he may still be here under an assumedname?

Who knows. ?

Hope that might compensate, temporally, temporarily.

Two… a fellow Moderator for a tea, and a long-time member who was over from Turkey for a drink.

It was, what it was… meeting people for drinks.

I met two, Faust and Pezer. I wouldn’t say it went “well” but it did a lot of things to me from which I gained much experience.

meeting Faust in Maine, USA in 2007

meeting Pezer in Montreal, Canada in 2015

I mean I love both these guys but Im a bit of an impossible person and so are they, so yeah.

Lol a guy who is in professional film and used to be a friend in film school I showed this to asked why I was living in such Seven-like conditions. He didn’t find it a very attractive place, Montreal.

I cant possibly not see the beauty but then again, I love Seven, I saw it seven times in the theatre, that environment, I love rain. And neatly raked environments depress me.

Recently I was wondering and not finding a solution, what I would choose if they offered me either a life with only rain or with only sun. Hard.

I had planned to also meet this guy who is posting here on this forum but didn’t give me permission to reveal his name here, but when I arrived in Canada he was getting in some shit with da law, and before I knew it motherfucker was in jail. Now he’s out and doing beany, truly well, but it did come between the meeting of minds I had prepared in my mind.

Contingencies man. Contingency and philosophy have weird babies.

I’ll go, but only if Faust and Pezer are going too. I figure it’ll be easier for me to keep it unphilosophical if there’s three of ya.

Yeah ok.

I also met Phoneutria in Brazil. Like with Faust, I was a little overwhelmed by the favours being done to me, hospitality is a more lavish thing on the other side of the Atlantic, here people are more genuinely worried of what will happen to their mental solace, from Italy and Spain to the North, people are like that. In the Americas they’ll just let you fuck up as you must and then offer some commentary maybe or some favour to make it better. In both cases I came away a lot better and with some seriously good stories I only tell when Im drunk.
