With the constant stream of music that is constantly being released, it’s very feasible to have a daily favourite song… ad infinitum, tho my chanson favorie tends to be cyclically monthly, or more, even… depending on what’s been released… mon chanson favorie pour le jour, lasting more like months, but not stuck in a time-loop, of years. Tho if truth be told, I am currently listening-juggling to at least 3 songs at the moment… they block out the noise from unwanted attentions or others’ ongoing problems, and I prefer my mind to be void of all such things… waiting for the next exciting inspiration or big adventure.
Is there ever anything arguably, objectively, the best? I’m sure we all have at least one of those in our lives. ; )
All true, but I have made the conscious decision to steer completely clear of all new music. Just as I made the conscious decision to steer clear of all new films. That’s why I abandoned my film thread.
Why? Because in running out of time, I made the decision to stick with films and music that I know I will love.
Only with music I have a billion cassette tapes – mixed tapes – with trillions of songs on them. So as I listen to them, I’m prompted from time to time to include some of them on this thread. That’s why there are so many repetitive selections now.
