If You're Listening To Music Right Now III

Thank You. It’s some kind of obsession, maybe even a preversive need to compensate for self induced myopia, a friend once commented.

Thanks Meno, another world.

‘one more red nightmare’ by king crimson. You can’t bust into a song any better than this. That plate’s in the pocket AND he’s playing the high hats at the same time. Shit is wicked. It might be two tracks because there’s a ride cymbal going in there too. Like wtf. How is he doing that? He’d need three arms. I think he added the plate on a second track.

I can’t stand the melody tho. Terrible change in my opinion. It doesn’t fit at all. They coulda done all kinds of stuff there but they did that. Damn Bobby what were you thinking.

I meant the song, not the god… the song really gels with my hippy side, glam rock especially.

The lead was of Hungarian origin:

“Veres was born in The Hague, in the Netherlands. Her father was the Hungarian Romani violinist Lajos Veres (1912–1981), and her mother Maria Ender (1912–1986) was of French and Russian heritage.[3]”

She didn’t end on a happy note.

That makes sense, she doesn’t look Dutch, too exotic.

What happened to Mariska Veres?

THE HAGUE, Dec. 7 (Agence France-Presse) — Mariska Veres, a lead singer for the Dutch group Shocking Blue, which had a worldwide hit in 1970 with its song “Venus,” died here on Saturday. She was 59. The cause was gall bladder cancer, Dutch news organizations reported.

She had great style… had that 70s chic thing, goin on.

I think I’ll check-out their other tracks, and hip out to them, lolz.

…a much better (clearer) version, yes… I hadn’t heard of that band before, until I heard them on a pal’s Gram reel. I’m hooked!
