Hi, i have just finished lower sixth and i am going to study philosophy at uni.
for me now cambridge is out of the window but i am looking at some of the other redbrick uni’s. if anyone would be able to give me any help or advise on any uni it would be most appreciated.

Go for Bristol or Birmingham.
Philosophy… oh man, are you sure? I mean… forget it.
Last year when I was in your position, I wanted to go for PPE at Oxford or York, but the worldy me previlled, I switched to Ecoomics at Cambridge or York. Cambridge didn’t like the way my speech sounded, consequently, I’m at York.
Come to york for PPE, and you won’t regret it.
I am from Bristol and can confirm it is an excellent place to study Philosophy.
It depends on what you like. It sounds like you might have an idea as to what kind of philosophy you are interested in? There are some lesser known universities with small, dedicated departments who are brilliant for certain things thanks to their research subjects.
In general, Bristol and Warwick. Birmingham? Hrm… wouldn’t have guessed so but gavtmcc knows something I do not.
