Often enough I just think back to the 80s and 90s because I feel these were the heyday of our culture and maybe we can bring it back, knowing what we know now and with our means of creation so advanced, and it will be even better.
These flashbacks come to me in the form of what I then believed in and loved, and what later on seemed to have been perhaps not cynical enough, but I was always aware that what was behind the whole feel was rather a very deep cynicism, namely a realism, which resulted in the profound wish to hold on to ideals. We were in that way more cynical than all others - we deliberately chose the fiction over the olden truth - because of an all too deep knowledge this truth!
I will start in the early 80s, when boys were still men.
