I’ve just watched Paul on Glastonbury 2022.
It is hard to exaggerate the massive influence the Beatles had, and not just on music but on the whole damn social structure. Quietly and unselfconsciously they changed a stuffy post war Britain into an open world of possibilities, being present at the nexus of a transformation that made the modern world a possibility. Their presence just seemed to set up examples for change. Two of them paid the ultimate price for their fame. Give Peace a Chance!
