Personally curated quotes on fascism

Are you a communist?”
“No I am an anti-fascist”
“For a long time?”
“Since I have understood fascism.”

-Ernest Hemingway, For Whom the Bell Tolls

“Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies, their propaganda is marked by its extreme contempt for facts as such, for in their opinion fact depends entirely on the power of man who can fabricate it.”

-Hannah Arendt -Origins of Totalitarianism

“A fascist is one whose lust for money or power is combined with such an intensity of intolerance toward those of other races, parties, classes, religions, cultures, regions or nations as to make him ruthless in his use of deceit or violence to attain his ends.”

-Henry Wallace

“State ownership! It leads only to absurd and monstrous conclusions; state ownership means state monopoly, concentrated in the hands of one party and its adherents, and that state brings only ruin and bankruptcy to all.”
-Mussolini

“Hitler lied shamelessly about himself and about his enemies. He convinced millions of men and women that he cared for them deeply when, in fact, he would have willingly sacrificed them all. His murderous ambition, avowed racism, and utter immorality were given the thinnest mask, and yet millions of Germans were drawn to Hitler precisely because he seemed authentic. They screamed, “Sieg Heil” with happiness in their hearts, because they thought they were creating a better world.”

-Madeleine K. Albright

“He feels that most high-placed Nazis are refusing to face facts vis-à-vis their economic plight. By doing so, they accelerate the tendency toward greater tour de force adventures, less predictability, less stability in general. The cycle of manic enthusiasm, then fear, then Partei solutions of a desperate type—well, the point he got across was that all this tends to bring the most irresponsible and reckless aspirants to the top.”
Mr. Tagomi nodded.
“So we must presume that the worst, rather than the best, choice will be made.”

-Philip Dick, The Man in the High Castle

“A fascist government is the most coward government in the world and a fascist leader is the most coward person in the world! He knows very well that on the day he lost his power he will be replaced by the people he has unfairly sent to jail and to the cemeteries! With this great fear, he becomes more and more demonic, more and more bestial!”

-Mehmet Murat ildan

And then [for some] there’s this one…

“Make America great again”.

Donald Trump

I think fascism is only justifiable as a temporary state of government composed of a ‘vanguard’. This would be representative of that initial organization or hierarchy of committee chosen political leaders who would exist until all countries were absolved into a single state and all capitalist activity on erf was stopped.

At that point you dont need a proletarian dictatorship and the concept becomes an oxymoron. Plus, no such conventionally conceived idea of a fascist government taken by a coup could ever exist again on erf. That was only possible in that 20th century niche of history. Today it’s bad science fiction.

BUT…if…IF something like a civil war went down or some shit, and some self declared socialist revolutionaries in the highest military ranks had executive decision making power… you very well might have something like the planks of the C manifesto happen. This would make it similar to the concept of the proletarian dictatorship with the military elite as the vanguard. But again, this is science fiction. You’re not gonna get something like a Red Dawn scenario in America. Americans dont revolt in any organized sense. They just get together and complain with signs. Maybe destroy a few buildings. That’s garbage. Amateur shit that would give a highly trained bolshevik a good belly laugh. Even our anarchists are whack. Speaking of this whole omg ANTIFA thing. Dudes. There might be a thousand high school and college kids across the country who call themselves antifa while on camera in the streets. These kids don’t even know each other. It’s just a fad that’s become a boogeyman for trump to prop up when trying to scare the voters with stories of evil socialists. They aren’t an organization. They arent even a club. But fox talks about them as if they were secret special ops assassins from the treadstone project.
