Bernie on the Border

Bernie Sanders, in 2015, on why “open borders” is an evil corporatist plot to hurt American workers

What is your point?

That open borders is arguably a corporatist policy, not a progressive, nor a conservative policy.
Having strong borders should be bipartisan.
And most people want strong borders, yet most politicians don’t, because they’re shills.
Populists on the right and the left both want strong borders.

I really don’t mean to be offensive but - again you seem to be missing the whole authoritarianism globalism concept.

Corporations are just the business version of socialist controllers - they are the same thing with exactly the same goal except they hide behind the idea of capitalist competition even though in the long run it is still merely monopoly and monarchy.

What both the socialists and the crony corporate capitalists require is cheap - stupid - uneducated - un-united labor to serve the owner “class” (the very thing that prom keeps complaining about).

What open borders does is provide exactly that - for both the cronies and the socialists (which are actually the same and is why O’Biden insist on it) - not to mention a lot more deranged socialist voters (they are not allowing immigrants with experience of socialism/communism across the border - only the ignorant and anti-American).

Both the socialists and the corporate cronies hate the US because they see their power coming entirely from the global hegemony and authoritarianism - no more need to compete or perform - public extorted with no alternative option. They are GLOBALISTS. Bernie Sanders was not a globalist - until recently.

So when it comes to “progressive” vs “conservative” - they are 100% opposed.
Progressives - socialist AND corporatist - OPEN Border
Conservatives - constitutional, democratic, and capitalist - SECURE Border

Here’s a different way of looking at it.
Let’s ditch progressivism/conservatism for socialism/capitalism because the former are broader and vaguer.

Where do capitalism and socialism differ?
Capitalism = negative rights/liberty.
Socialism = positive rights/access to goods and services.

Where are they the same?
Both are based on equality.
Capitalism = equality of negative rights/liberty.
Socialism = equality of positive rights/access to goods and services.

Whereas corporatism is based on inequality, the rich have more negative and/or positive rights than the poor, and feudalism is based on inequality, the highborn have more negative and/or positive rights than the lowborn.

Capitalism and socialism can be synthesized in various ways.
Social democracy = equality of liberty, unless someone is having difficulty meeting their needs on their own, then government and/or society provides them with essential goods and services/more equal opportunity to get ahead.

Corporatism can also be combined with capitalism and/or socialism in various ways, for example in Gentile and Mussolini’s class collaboration (when individuals or corporations are having trouble meeting their needs or could use a leg up to get ahead, they get bailed out or a leg up if they’re deemed by society/the state to have sufficient worth to society/the state), and in social corporatism (welfare is prioritized for small businesses and corporations with more employees per revenue over big business and corporations with fewer employees per revenue).

In a democracy with lots of corruption in high places, fat cats receive enormous sums of money for nothing, impoverishing the people, and in a democracy with lots of corruption in low places, the people receive enormous sums of money for nothing.
In my estimation the former is a far bigger problem than the latter.

Corruption and incompetence ebbs and flows.
High corruption and incompetence leads to collapse, and/or regime change, either greater entrenchment of the corrupt class or the diminishment of its influence.

Borders, imaginary lines.

Not if you fill them in with walls.
Are borders between property also imaginary?

Yes, ownership of land is an illusion. Walls crumble after enough rain water trickles into the cracks.

Great!
Me and my buddies are coming over to (y)our house, what’s for dinner, tacos?

Sure, as long as you sit before a chair that is being used as a table, sitting as stiffly and uptight as possible. And yes, racist tacos.

For appetizers we are all having the government install a a highway through my kitchen, without asking permission. For desert, God is sending an earthquake to draw up new fault line fractures. Whose land is this really?

Gloom what u have to realize is that the Mexicans are stuck in a developmental stage due to the country’s inability to modernize after being raped by america. You can’t think of Mexican illegals as citizens of the polis. You have to think of them as disenfranchised Mayans and Apaches rooting around and trying to find a better way of life. Don’t let the flannel shirts and cowboy boots deceive you. They are still very much indigenous indignants who’d be dressed in feathers and head dresses if it weren’t for NAFTA.

I think it will take an actual outer space alien assault for the one world viewpoint to ever take hold in the collective mind of all human beings.

I suggest joining together and people laugh me away and and tell me to go sing camp songs. Meanwhile the ocean floor connects each island above.

Can you explain that?

  1. Nobody raped anybody, you two had a fight, and they lost.

  2. That was a long time ago.

  3. All Latin American countries are less developed, that’s just the way they are.

  4. You can’t help illegals by making legals poorer and fat cats richer.

  5. It’s a slap in the face to legals who waited in line.

  6. They’re not indigenous, they’re mestizos, indigenous is a social construct anyway, we’re all Africans, according to corporate progressives.

  7. Even if America, Canada and Australia invited as many poor people from the 3rd world as we possibly could, we wouldn’t even make a dent in 3rd world poverty.

  8. Some of them are smuggling arms, drugs and people.

Like Bernie said, only corporatists and those they’ve duped want open borders.

  • I want to protect our wilderness, environmentalists and those who wanted to curb immigration use to be on the same side, till the corporatists took over the environmental movement, we need to get corporate environmentalists out.
