So the second of my thesis in Society, government and economics…
so what has happened to conservatives these last few years?
Conservativism was a theory about the society, government and economics…
You had several basic conservative theories…that the best government is
the least amount of government…To be able to “drown the government
in a bathtub” was the idea of how big government was supposed to be…
the next similar idea was the theory about taxes… not only the size of
government but how much were raised in taxes and where those taxes
were spent… this is how the debate went in America for over 40 years…
and it was a debate that was necessary… what is the role of the
government and who paid for that… is an essential argument
between the two parties… and until IQ45 came along, it was
the way the two parties discussed how government worked…
but with the new TFH party, (Tin Foil Hat) you have conservatives
basing their claim of government on conspiracies and outright lies…
let us grant them their arguments, there is a “deep state” conspiracy,
there is a widespread conspiracy led by big pharma…let us grant them
their conspiracies… and now what? there isn’t any type of attempt to
hold to the basic point of government and the specific point of democracy…
what is the point of government? and what is the point of political parties?
and what of the form of government known as democracy?
the original rise of government comes when individual man finds out
that, by themselves, they cannot engage in what they want to engage with,
if they have to also engage with policing and taking care of the “people’s business”
all by themselves… in other words, government role is to take care of the stuff
that allows people to engage in their own business/activities…
if you are spending all your time, engage in the “state of Nature” in which
there were no enforceable criteria of right and wrong. People took for themselves
all they could, and the human life was “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short”…
by an enforcing agent as in the state, we can grow bigger then
just being in a “state of nature”… in order to become human beings
and not just animals, we must have some form of agent that can enforce
the rules of that state… otherwise, we are just animals, living animal lives,
the step that turned people from animals, into becoming animal/human,
came with the creation of government… the rise of human beings coincided
with the rise of government…we cannot and do not make the journey from
being animal to becoming animal/human to becoming fully human,
without the equal growth of government…
when I contemplate what it means to be human, I must also have an engagement
with our society, government/state, our economics…for we cannot become
human without the society, government/state, our economics…
thus, the much-needed discussion of the proper role of government must
take place…as it has for as long as human beings have walked the earth…
but conservatives in their insane conspiracy theories, have walked away from
the very basis of what government/the state, the society and economics means for
us, individually and collectively…
how are we to have a discussion about the proper role of the society,
the government/state and what economics we should have if, if
all conservatives will talk about is numnut conspiracy theories…
how does this talk about conspiracy theories advance the concepts
that we must engage with the government if, if we are to grow
our role from animal to animal/human to becoming fully human?
what is the proper role of government?
how does that vital discussion happens if all conservatives want to talk
about, are insane conspiracy theories about the “deep state” or about
phony “stolen elections or about wearing masks?”
how are we to help people become better people by holding onto
insane conspiracy theories? and that is the point of the government…
to allow us the time and space to make our lives better, that we will
engage in our time becoming better, wiser human beings…
the proposition that “all men are created equal”
means that all people have the right to engage in their lives, to grow
from being just animals to becoming animal/human to becoming fully human…
instead of just spending our days and night, trying to fulfill the basic function of
existence by living like animals, spending our days seeking food, water, shelter,
education to the exclusion of an attempt to become something more…
how are we to have time to become more if we are spending all our time,
seeking out the basic necessities of existence? and therein lies the point
and purpose of government… to allow the people the means to gain
the basic necessities of existence by food programs like SNAP or EBT cards…
to create a bottom line of existence which will allow people the possibility
of becoming something more…
“all men are created equal”
means everyone, EVERYONE has the right, given by just existing, the right
to the basic means of existence, food, water, shelter, education, health care…
and within that right of gaining a basic human existence, we give them a chance
to become something more… to also seek what all beings seek, a chance
to find love, security/safety, esteem, the ability to seek out what is possible for us…
because my basic needs are met, I can reach beyond just seeking the basic
essentials of existence, food, water, shelter, education, health care and I can
pursue the possibilities of existence… which in my mind is to become the
best possible philosopher I can become… but if my days and nights are,
as they have been for two weeks, seeking the basics, I cannot then become
something more… If I am spending all my time working, then how can I grow
as a human being… become something more than just a animal/human?
How do I grow into becoming fully human, if I am spending all my time working?
or seeking my basic fundamental needs as a human being?
and thus, we come to why we have the society, the government/state,
the economy… to realize my possibilities as a human being…to become
human, fully human…
how does insane conspiracy theories allow me the possibility to grow into
a better human being? there is no discussion about vaccines or “stolen elections”,
or “the deep state” that can allow me the possibilities to become fully human?
it is only by realizing what the true and proper goal/purpose of the
state/government can we see what is possible for us, because we
can only become who we are with the society, government/state
the economy growing with us…
the best chance for me to become fully human lies with a strong,
central government that continues the basic functions of a strong
government… to build and maintain roads, to educate our young,
to collect the trash, to maintain sewage plants… by these things,
the government does what I cannot do alone, and by doing so,
allows me to opportunity to become my possibilities… to become
fully human…
the government grows and evolves just as I am growing and evolving…
what we see today, will not be the government/state of tomorrow…
it must change and grow to better serve me and my journey to become…
