Replying to nobody in particular… :-"

”Given the asteroid’s size, its metal content could be worth $10,000 quadrillion ($10,000,000,000,000,000,000), or about 10,000 times the global economy as of 2019”.

…and who would be the beneficiary of the meteorite and therefore that sum of potential income?

Would it belong to the planet, and then funds distributed according to geographical need of individual populaces?

Well… taxpayers paid for this mission. It should belong to all of them equally.
