I must admit, convention fatigue struck last night…
I had a hard watching this night…because it was, frankly,
pretty boring…
the best speeches on the GOP side has been the so called, up and coming
republicans, and they had to dig far and wide to find a couple of African-Americans
who would speak at this thing…
unlike most people, I found Melania’s speech to be boring because it was
delivered in the exact same monotone inflection…no up or down
in her delivery… and the pacing was exactly the same…it was boring…
her words, however actually gave us something we hadn’t seen yet,
notice of the problems in America, both in terms of the Virus and
the Trump depression… she actually noted both in past tense and
in present tense… something no other convention speaker did…
if you watch tonight and didn’t know, you would not have found
out from any speech outside of Melania speech that there was once
in a lifetime pandemic and economic crisis… both were pretty much
ignored…republicans can sure ignore reality…
so far, out of 12 “prime time” speakers, 6 have been family members
and again, outside of Melania, not one really has given a defense
of IQ45 policies…most family speakers have tried the impossible,
which is to humanize IQ45… make him seem like someone who actually
cared, spoiler alert, he doesn’t…
tonight tried to toss red meat to the base with how great the last
4 years have been…except you can’t defend 2020, and that is the problem…
he can’t wish 2020 away…
they also tried to smear Biden and family with failed conspiracy theories that
have been debunked… you know Ukraine nonsense…
all while while whining about Biden so called nepotism,
missing the immense IQ45 NEPOTISM…you know where
his kids have paid, prominent roles in IQ45 White house…
I can’t really see this night having much rating success because
the other night, Monday night dumpster fire…
probably turned a whole lot of people off…
I don’t see last night being any kind of turn around for the campaign
in any way, shape or form…
the two events I am ashamed of was the outright pandering to
people who might not have noticed before, IQ45 anti-immigration
and attack of anyone of color…so, what did he do??
He had a presidental pardon of some bank robber, which is fine
except this was clearly pandering to people because he did
it during the convention…this pardon was an political event,
and tried to humanize IQ45… which has been the real theme of
this convention, look, Donny boy is really human…really…
this whole convention has been an attempt to humanize IQ45…
the problem is you can’t erase over 3 years of him being a
psychopath…
they tried to rewrite history with this convention
rewrite the economics history, the virus, his alleged
compassion, and rewrite Biden’s history…
If there was one word to describe the GOP convention,
I would say, lying… they have lied pretty much about everything
in this convention…
this convention won’t help IQ45 at all…
because this convention has been about the red meat to the
base and he needs to expand outside of the base and what they
have offered so far, won’t attract anyone who isn’t a already
a cult member of Trumpism…
