Time and again, it has been shown that people who believe most feverishly in these theories, when faced with contradicting evidence, will often double down as opposed to changing their opinion. Whether it be Heaven’s Gate, Jim Jones, or Branch Davidians, people trapped within these belief systems often die, rather than changing their mind. I cannot imagine 74MM people simply accepting Biden’s presidency, so how will the narrative shift assuming Trump isn’t dead or in jail after his term is finished?

Let’s take a look at some of the meltdowns happening on TheDonald right now:

Stop saying 2022 and 2024. Stop it.
I’m no doomer. I’ve kept hope this entire time, never once doubted POTUS. Watching the message from President Trump tonight certainly made me feel like I just got dumped. And I disagree with just about everything he said for once. There was nothing more patriotic than what I saw in the capitol.
But I still have hope. Not that he’s going to do anything, but that patriots across the country will. But it isn’t for 2022 or 2024. There is no hope there. Stop laying down and taking it like a bitch. This is why we lost. Because every time we get fucked, people say “We’ll get them next time”.
No, we won’t. Because they don’t play fair. Do you really think 2022 or 2024 will matter in the slightest? We will NEVER have another fair election again. With their new power, they will ensure that they have control over every election going forward and the only people to win are the ones THEY CHOOSE. Its now or never. If you want your country back this is the last chance we have.
If this isn’t turned around, we will never be free again. They’ll open the borders, they’ll take the guns, they’ll put our children on hormone blockers and the rest they’ll touch inappropriately (or try). They’ll put people in jail for speech, they’ll slowly kill off the ones that become a “problem” for them. You’ve seen this. You know how the democrats work. They are sick and they are perverts. They are evil people that have a warped view of the world. Every city they touch burns. We are in for hell on earth. My generation is going to suffer if the world goes in this direction.
My point here is simply this. You can’t rely on democracy when one side cheats and the other side thinks they are too good to cheat. We aren’t going to win any election ever again because they will control the votes. I’m not a doomer, that’s just the reality.
This is our last stand. Start coming up with real solutions. What can we legally do, if anything? But stop telling people we can win another election. Its moronic.

So, the events of January 6 are the product of two long-term objectives that Trump has sought, successfully. One is, like all strongmen who arrive on the scene, they legitimize existing extremism and anti-democratic tendencies. They give validation to the worst criminal elements in society. And in fact, many strongmen, including Trump, either come to power with a criminal record or under investigation, so they are criminal elements themselves. So there’s that. The other thing they do is — and Trump did this with the GOP — is they glamorize and legitimize lawlessness. So lawmakers become lawbreakers. And this has happened. And what is particularly disturbing — and I think we’ll have more of this — there’s an AP investigation that has come out on, you know, who are these participants of the January 6 events. And though it’s tempting to see them as — which is scary enough — as extremists and militia groups, white power, there were Republican donors. There were Republican officials. There were military. There were law enforcement. So this means the threat to democracy is not outside our institutions only. It’s coming from inside. And this is a logical result of a policy that Trump has followed very resolutely since he started signalling during his campaign to extremist groups, but also made that statement you played at the top of the show about shooting someone. What he was saying, in January 2016, is that he would be — he was above the law, and he was capable of violence, and he would get away with it.
This. They’ve taken ownership of so many words and completely perverted them. This has been boiling for ages. “Freedom”, “family values”…the words and phrases they’re always screaming. Anyone who is capable of critical thinking has always seen the utter hypocrisy and delusion in all of it. These people are a cancer and nothing less.
The slow burn of Fox News, Facebook and Rush Limbaugh radicalized viewers slowly since Obama came on the scene in 2006. Trump was just the first person to take full advantage of it. We can quit pretending this is new. I watched totally rational, totally educated family members literally rot away in front of their TV’s and computers, becoming increasingly frustrated and so so angry at the world and of what they were “losing” because a black guy was getting some traction in the 2008 race. I imagine millions of people experienced the same. They were being conditioned back then to hate other races, Democrats, socialists/communists/antifa, etc. Republicans used this to scare the bejezzus out of them back then and led to the Tea Party sweep and Republican downballot sweeps of 2010 and 2014.
Then Trump waltzed in and took their fearmongering to a whole new level. He communicated directing with them on Twitter and talked “just like him”. He didn’t sugarcoat it. He, the most powerful man in the world, shared their fears of Democrats taking their religion and making their kids have abortions. “He” knew all about it and “he” was going to save them.
