Christians live more virtuous lives than atheists do.

My favorite philosopher Blaise Pascal was onto something when he extolled the benefits of Christianity some 400 years ago:

“Now, what harm will befall you in taking this side? You will be faithful, humble, grateful, generous, a sincere friend, truthful. Certainly you will not have those poisonous pleasures, glory and luxury; but will you not have others? I will tell you that you will thereby gain in this life, and that, at each step you take on this road, you will see so great certainty of gain, so much nothingness in what you risk, that you will at last recognise that you have wagered for something certain and infinite, for which you have given nothing.”

Christians give more to charity than atheists do:

Christians volunteer more than atheists do:

Christians are more civically engaged than atheists are:

Atheists tend to be more focused on self rather than selflesness. They worship themselves. Nietzsche built an entire philosophy around this: “becoming what one is.” Self-worship.

Card stacking. There are more professed Christians than there are professed atheists. A survey could be taken in the right setting and would yield opposite results. And, if the news is correct there exists more idiotic Christians nowadays than atheists. Truth is not either black nor white. It’s a billion shades of gray.
A blanket statement has no need of proof.
For it is warm and snugly hides the truth.
