I see this is the legislature branch. Since, now that I have become an ILP legend and haven’t made an idea into this thread I shall dare try to think of one.
If we create a online game like checkers or chess, will not we attract more members? They will not only have the luxury to waste their valuable life and also they will recieve philosophical wisdom?
Or is the site is only delicated to read and write?
Dan - chess, of course, is easy to play in emails, or on PM’s. Why don’t you get a game going with someone and then, upon completion, post it on MB? We can then rip apart both players’ strategies and explain how we would have done better.
More fun for everyone would be if you played the game in “real time” - in a thread for all to see - again, on MB. Peeps could PM the combatants as they played with suggested next moves and/or post groans and praise as you play.

but would not that take a lot of time? pm, telling what move to make, of course not if those who are old and have a lot of time to spend. But for the young people, I find it to hard because like me still young am very lazy.
Well, there are a lot of game sites. Please - not another “Battle of the Generations”. When I was young, I used to play chess by mail. Snailmail. It would not take any more time than a live match, in the actual playing. presumably, you would find something else to do between moves.
true but most game sites require alot of ram or dsl speed or money to register, or classic games on yahoo or msn.
The method you use as seending each other moves is the old style, I can only do that if I was very serious playing.
There should be a cool game unlike other sites have. Battleship. Or connect 4.

I didn’t realise that about the game sites. I never play them. I’m still waiting for someone to provide an XP-compatible version of the original SimCity. I had a computer rigged to play it once, but something went wrong. Why don’t you do some research, and see what’s possible? Maybe we can put up a site that can be linked to this one. I am not computer literate enough to know if it’s even possible to put games here. But websites are cheap, are they not? Can’t you just put up a page and paste a few games on it?

Another thing is, no one read rules, I didn’t when I even came to this site. So often concepts are ignored.
this is a toughie, because if you paste games that was already made, you are endanger. And I do not have the C++ knowledge to create games. Maybe it could be done in shockwave or flash.

Well, Bessy, there’s a technical issue with that. I’m not always in complete agreement with me. I guess that measn I could play against myself in a game of chess. At least until they find some medication that works.
