I was feeling quite moved by the Sun - it was setting behind houses and shining through the gaps of the blinds.
Perhaps I’ve the look of a dog beaten too much, always appears self conscious / guilty regardless of circumstance.
You mustn’t get me…
I seek a very innocent lifestyle. I avoid many elements prevalent in our culture, including porn. Never taken drugs, don’t drink, don’t party, non-violent, non-competitive etc. etc.
As this great Murican country collapses individuals like myself undoubtedly will be rounded up or something much more worse. I just see it as rational paranoia on my part.
I voted for the guy who was going to reduce my student loan burden and try and get me cheap insurance. The party affiliation was irrelevant to my decision. Also, voting is a waste of time. Particularly, if you’re in Alabama and voting for a democrat. Or is it? You know, the right wing is gonna win here until the end of time. Unless, they start losing 1 percent a year because people come out and start to vote the other way. Even before they start losing 100 years from now, in the meantime, they’ll have to move more to the center because they’ll be afraid of losing 2 percent next year. You saw what Bush did when he thought he had the entire country behind him right? It’s important for them to see the margin of victory that they have in an election so that they can know to attenuate their radicalism and throw the poor a bone, and not drop bombs all over places that don’t have anything to do with us.
Voting for the options you’re given is a waste of time. I like spoil the ballet myself–add an extra checkbox with some nonsense name like “Spiderman”–they say even that sends a message.
You’re participating in it whether you vote or not. That’s true, but politicians have to be, to some extent, driven to win elections. So voting one way, even if that way loses, can show the other side that at least they’re not winning by as big a margin anymore.
