If they call themselves, “fundamentalists”…my first instinct tells me they’re probably some kind of hate group. “Anonymous” makes me think they’re doing something that they’re ashamed of deep down, or they’re just cowards.

But to be fair, the link doesn’t work for me either.

Alright, I’ve been gone for a while. Last year I came into some money, and some long term monthly income. After 10 years living on the edge, I went a little nutz. I went off my meds. And started to regain my senses. But I’m back. A little embarrassed.

Strange thing, it took a banning (not mine) at the local newspaper forums to bring me home.

I’m planning on pitching a bitch there. And referenced SWOG. And I didn’t feel I could do it without letting you all know.

I might have been over the edge but, I still read. During that time of reading, I ran into some interesting things.

The first being atheists are the most despised minority in the country.
The second (while I have no statistics), being an alcoholic/doper .

And if you’re already somd kind of minority, that would make 3. That would be me.

All is not bad though. We are amough the most tolerent. We have been there, done that. We know. That puts us head and shoulders above those that would condamn others that can’t, or won’t look beyond fucking appearences and look be beyond. And summon our own life experence.

In short, while we be damned, just becaused who and/or what we are. We are also gifted by who and/are what we are.

Even Lincoln knew that. Way back in 1842.

Why is this a big deal? If the kids want to have a Christian club in a high school, then why shouldn’t they. And why shouldn’t the teacher say that she runs it? Why shouldn’t she say that she’s Christian?

Problems would only arise if she marked tests based on religion. Or if the school blocked non-Christian clubs.

FFRF’s letter also addressed inappropriate religious content on teachers’ personal Web pages accessed on the district’s website. A ninth-grade math teacher’s page says she sponsors the high school Christian Students United club and concludes with: “I am a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where I teach 5th grade Sunday School. My church and my faith are very important to me. I strive to live each day for Jesus and pray that His love is shown to my students through me.”

The ‘god who never made sense’ can be every/any god. In the context of all the other ‘steps’, it’s almost certainly a denial of God in general rather than a specific fundy god.

Depends on what exactly is meant by “never made sense”. Maybe they mean the concepts of Gods which contain contradictory statements and are therefore impossible (fundy gods mostly) or just the general lack of evidence for any deity which renders belief in them senseless.
