Yeah it does seem biased towards Skyrim’s freedom, mind you I’ve never done any Empire stuff. Would also love to save someone instead of just killing them. But then the Assassins guild stuff is not straightforward or easy so I’ll live.
Incidentally I just found out that Ebony armour is bugged and does not receive the second +25% bonus on the heavy armour perk line, apparently everyone in the known universe knows it but they haven’t fixed it, probably a little late now. Daedric is unaffected apparently. Also found out Enthir in the mages hold sells 2 Daedra hearts at a time. Never noticed this but cool.
Considering the size of the game and the complexity, the bugs are somewhat forgiveable, that said, simple fixes like armour perks should really have been fixed in beta testing, since you can get 100 smithing very quickly if you’re obsessed with it, contrary to letting it build naturally over time, but oh well.
Who the hell wants Daedric armour at level 5, honestly you want the game to be hard, don’t you, unless you are 12, some people…
It’s not a cheat to uber up some skills early, an idiot could figure it out, but it’s damn well lame, probably the same idiots who play the game on novice when diddums dies of a broken finger nail. I kinda clicked on a “cheat” thing related to facts about armour I was looking for, read it and then threw up, 2023892789 armour 28738 damage, really get a life, the game simply isn’t that hard. Exploiters are idiots. Ok they’ve worked out how to walk through the game in 266 seconds flat, but what’s the point, you only enjoy doing something that’s damned tough. For example random encounter earlier, an ice mage and fire mage fighting, I ran up to see what the skinny was, next thing I knew I was getting pwned by both of the gits, died quickly, even with some heal potions and some nifty footwork. I like that keeps me on my toes. Discretion is the better part of valour.
Yeah I think if you’re even half able to play these sorts of games, ie you’ve played many or at least a few RPGs you have to push the envelope. That said I never went from Expert to master until level 45, it was hard enough before then. Saying that, I find MMORPGs way more challenging but then it’s many people against an AI, and it’s impressive when they make it incredibly challenging at end game, so much so that even those who have done something backwards struggle. I guess when you grow up in game playing, you relish any challenge, and Skyrim as you say, with it suddenly getting harder level by level, fulfils that challenge, assuming you aren’t exploiting like a girl of 5.
