I am sure everyone has heard of the problem of whether a bottle is 1/2 full or 1/2 empty. I have an idea.
Those who says, the bottle is 1/2 full is wrong.
Those who says, the bottle is 1/2 empty is wrong.
The correct answer, is that the bottle is 1/2 full AND 1/2 empty.

I find it incredible. The 1/2 bottle thingy just goes to show how an optmist and a pessimist can be BOTH wrong!

No, it makes no difference. It is either half full or half empty. No difference at all.
no, he’s saying that a 1 L flask half full of water will have 500 mL of water and 500 mL of air. Very simple

well unless this bottle is perfectly cylindrical, its not half and half.
its either filled half the height of the bottle and not half the volume, or half the volume and not half the height.
and this is very relevant

(It’s like the day you find out that you ARE Tyler Durden.)
Clearly I am not you, as you know more about various religions and fields of psychology whereas I know more Plato.

That does remind me, anyone here ever stared into a mirror… maybe concentrating your vision on your eyes. You clear your mind and you forget who you are? Or is that me being Tyler Durden?

Good point.
Then again, if you WERE me, and you were trying to create the perception that you were two different people, wouldn’t you have each of them specialize in different fields that didn’t cross over too much?
