1st noble truth - Life is suffering.

I have seen this snippet of Buddha’s philosophy on several occasions on this board.

I believe the better interpretation is that everyone’s life contains suffering and that to suffer is a normal part of our existence.

Does this sound correct?

No, Buddha ment, to live is to suffer. Propabably meant it when compared to the state he attained. Or maby not.

To suffer is to know the meaning of life. To experience a horrible condition is to know life.
