Any claim to knowing is a claim to certainty in a sense, even if it is a partial sense. Therefore yes science does claim certainity, just that it’s certainty is allowed to be updated.
I’m not familiar with this kind of logic.

Science writers often claim “certainty,” Scientists do not.
It’s true that a scientist will say that under specific and defined conditions, water freezes at 0 degree’s centigrade. But what does this mean?
Religion KNOWS the turth, sceintists are always learning what is true, they make no claims of knowing or EVER knowing the “truth.”
