In order for the giant to be able to communicate with the midget, and Vice Versa, in order for them to be able to hear one another, it is the giant who must kneel down, descend, as the midget cannot so easily ascend.
Unless he has stilts, but that’s neither here nor there.
Nice parable. I can’t remember his exact words, but Dag Hammarskjold once said that in uneven situations, “it is always the strong who is at fault”. When you think about it, how can it be otherwise?
It can very easily be otherwise. The weak are a “fault” for providing the fuel for the strong to dominate them. If the weak didn’t willingly give service to the strong, than the strong couldn’t do what they do. When (i.g.) Charles Manson says “will you kill for me?” and his followers do so, he only becomes strong because his followers choose to do so. The weak are required for his “strength”.
