How many of you think that there is a complex set of circumstances which will require that the coming stormcouds of social, psychological, economic and health - related factors to evolve into a certainty of imminent conflict?

And if you think so, how do you come to that conclusion?

Do the factors that coalesced happened to ignite the world wars of the 20th century remain as unsettled events, left open and unchallenged for the most part?

Sometimes I get a sinking feeling based on the unprecedented challenges that our generation has to grapple with, have no appearent foreseeable apprehensions, while those of past generations appear to know better.!?!

This is a world war not really any different than the last 2 except for the use of military weapons (yet). That leads to most people not even knowing they are in a war for the conquest of the world.

So to your second question - the same issues - socialism vs constitutionalism (of one sort or another) never got resolved in total. Authoritarians don’t just give up because they lost a war. And new ones are being born every day. The temptation to grab for power is just too embedded in human nature.
