a Separation between What Is Had and What Is Reached For

We all have what I have lately been developing as a sane or insane grasp on reality, whether passive or active, or we are spewing nonsense (I’m sure some would say that about me).

What does a grasp on reality entail?

It entails an understanding of what is at hand, and what is being reached for in the interactions with what is at hand.

Like many twofold chains of causation, the caused (in this case what is being reached for, the “if all goes according to plan” future) is often counterfeited in order to change the present grasp, the manner of interaction with what is at hand.

To add another level of irony, this is often done with a specific caused future in mind, which is itself often a counterfeited manipulation.

A taliban is manipulated by a soldier with threats, manipulated by a CIA agent with military industrial ideology, manipulated himself by superiors with more refined military industrial ideology, manipulated themselves by polititians with socio-religious ideology… et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

Never reach for that which is outside your grasp and you will never fail nor know misery. (Buddhism 101)

The problem really isn’t one concerning for what to reach, but rather of stopping yourself from trying to reach the known wrong thing. Failing at that keeps the reaching and failing going. Because it is thus inevitable, wider reaches are made in order to grasp the very chaos, an attempt to form success out of predictable failure. From sight of such hopeful success, dependency on that failure becomes required for the plan. “Get more of them to reach for what they cannot grasp”.

The separation is maintained… by design.

This is a perfect example of reaching.
