I will be looking for my own Hatori Hanso sword in the island of Okinawa. Yes another Mental Revolutionist lays his feet on the ancient soil of the land of the rising sun. I have a lot of anticipation of the time ahead of me. One of the things I really want to do out there is that I want to climb Mount Fuji, visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, perform magic in the heart of Tokyo, buy a lot of cheap electronical gadgets, go scuba diving and prepare my ass for my seperation from the Marine Corps.
At the same time I have gotten permission ahead of time to make a F-18 Hornet jet plane dissappear. So I’m going to be plannning a lot of the logistics of this, it is going to be on national TV, so this is important. Not only will all of you get to see me on your local ABC station, XXI will also transcend the forefront of the grass roots, underground atmosphere it is now. I can’t think of any better way to seperate from the Corps and into the seat of the Chairman of XXI Entertainment.
Of course I am going to be coming on the mental revolution and ILP as much as possible (remember I am addicted), but that isn’t a promise. But you know I will be in contact. Thanks to all of you that come frequently to TMR, and those of you that have made ILP the board that it is now. And please set aside some time in the near future to actually participate in the World Game Scenario. It is worth while.
oh, happy birthday to ILP member Smooth. I have been on this message board for exactly a year now. wow. I just noticed as I looked at my join date and the date of the above post.
I was in this thread previously and I felt kind of strange saying good bye since I know I will see you either on ILP or on TMR or on DFS. But I do want to wish you a safe and positive experiencing trip to Japan. I hope you will be able to loosen up there, clear your head, relax, have fun, and come back energized to take on any and all challenges coming your way.
Good luck … I hope you do a better job at foolin’ them thar in Japan than you did when you linked me to a site that did not yet exist And if you’re going to be on television, please post air time so we don’t miss it.
aww She! That link works now, lol. just click on my signature.
Thanks everyone! I’ll try to enjoy myself. Right now I’m going through my overseas medical screening. Lot’s of fun!!! well, not really.
And if there is one thing you can depend on when with me is, that when the time and date is finalized for my appearence on TV, you will all know. If I have to PM every messae member from every major message board, massive emails, door to door salesmen, flyers from the sky, me hi-jacking a space shuttle and writing XXI on the moon as a warning… it will be done.
And of course I won’t be completly gone. My prescence will be felt over in TMR.
What is going on ?!?!?!! I’ve been on the island for exactly a week now and I’m absolutly loving it. Okinawa, by far, is the worlds best kept secret. The people are so beautiful, and I’m not talking about looks, their personalities. So humble and respectful. The skies are great, and the children to die for.
But the weather is the only drawback for some of you. There are only two types of weather out here. Hot. and Hot and Wet. Seriously. in one week I’ve seen more than thirty seperate rain showers. Thank God I’ve missed Tsunami season.
Oh well, please take a look at Obscure’s Blog, called Blue Philosopher, he’ll have pictures of our adventures there. Until I get established I won’t be on as much. Still need my computer out here that way I can get on the net more often.
I’ve also been learning Japanese and it is so easy. Wow, so very easy. The only difficult thing is getting used to their sentence order. While in english we use Subject - verb - noun. They use subject- noun - verb. So instead of saying I am Smooth. I will say I Smooth am. (am is the verb) And you will say it Watashi wa Smooth san Desu. Watashi is I, wa is a sentence particle that lets the listener know that what I said previous is the subject, Smooth san is my name, Desu (pronounced des, the u is silent) means is, am, their… it depends. You see, easy.
But yeah, everything is good to go. I miss my Snugz and my jeep. But I’m getting used to it out here. So visit Obscures Blog if and when you get a chance. I was thinking of getting one myself. But then I came to think that TMR is my blog.
Good to have you back with us. Who needs a travel guide when you’ve got Smooth to travel all around the world and give us the lowdown on what’s hot and what’s not! I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself and I’ll definitely be keeping up with your progress on Obscure’s blog. What exactly are you going to be doing out there?
I’ll tell you what would be sweet Smooth, is if you took a picture one of the kids holding up a sign saying “I LOVE PHILOSOPHY” in Japanese and then “ILovePhilosophy.com” underneath it in english!!! That’s not slave labour is it?
This is a rough translation of ILovePhilosophy in japanese. I need to speak to an actual Okinawan before I try to write it out in Hiragana and/or Katakana. But I assume that there has to be a Kanji for it. I’m not sure about the verb to love as there are a few words in the dictionary that mean love. Either way, no problemo!
I’ve already sat down with Rigsby (Obscure) and we decided to translate XXI to Kita, Mita, Katta in japanese. It means, I came, I saw, I conquered.
The kids are great. I’m going to be getting on that blog next week and actually write their stories. Since I’m just learning Japanese (or Nihon-go) me and the kids can only really speak through body language, which isn’t universal, and through games. My magic touches them, they adore it. The games of Chess, Go, Othello and Jenga are also understood. The kids help me flirt with their cute teachers ( kavaji-go sensei ), and the proper pronounciation of some words.
