There are adoptive parents out there. A lot of them. And there are people who give their kids up for adoption rather than kill them. I know someone personally who did that.
That is how King Solomon determined who to give the baby to. The one who would rather give the baby to someone else than let it be ripped in half. He didn’t need a DNA test. She might not even have been the biological mother.
