An absolute truth
Wouldn’t be false
3000 years from now.
That’s so faithful, and loyal.
No cheating on me.
Be there for me, and for our children
Forever.
So appealing
To have security.
Eternity is invincible.
Hey…
Old languages
Old food
Swords and maces.
They all went out of fashion.
They’re not that useful anymore.
They’ve been replaced.
Anything helpful
And capable of change
Can be replaced.
Isn’t the universe capable of change???
Doesn’t that make the universe a non-absolute truth?
Doesn’t that mean reality herself is a non-absolute truth?
Mr.P asked:
“What if Nihilism is true”, etc…
Well… here we go…
“Extreme relativism”,
That first, big step.
“Change” itself is relative, though, isn’t it…? if we make change into what is permanent, then we DO upgrade “change” to an absolute truth. This is similar to the paradox of meaning and context, i.e., “the meaning of an utterance is relative to its context”; but if we go ahead and assert that meaning isn’t anything without context (or that truth isn’t absolute if it doesn’t change) then we’re raising Context to an absolute upon which meaning becomes absolutely dependent… If you would say change is absolute, you would turn chance into the hand of God, then reality HAS become identical to truth because we’re dissolved the division between reality and appearance as an illusion in itself… but now reality can’t be absolute or relative, since it isn’t even identical to itself, as it’s defined “absolutely” by impermanence and change!
