Once we realize we must die of old age,
we become less afraid and except our doom more readily.

But if old age was cured,
then i have the theory that humans would fear death far more!
They would realize that they could live forever if they avoided
all sorts of dangers to their lives.
Cureing old age is possable!
Its only a matter of time antil its done.
Nanotechnology and genetics are still advancing every day.
I want humanity not to die, more then i want myself not to die,
and even if i died without a cure for ageing,
and i did not get to live very very long,
if i saw someone who could,
i would be so satisfied and happey for humanity.
Wisdom and apreshiation for life would drasticly increase if old age was removed! It would be a larger revolution of human values then you may realize. The fact that life no longer had to be temporary, means more long term and conservative thought/desitions in life.

curing old age is not possible. not without dramatically changing the persons brain. it will atrophy from use just like anything else does. if thats where our personality lies (i mean supposedly ive heard that you can actually transport memories from one person to another which is awesome) then we have no hope. the only way is to save our identity on some sort of neutral that doesnt damage anyhting and transport it into another fresh brain. which will be at a different stage of development regardless and will have to make you act differently.
“atrophy” is just as curable as “ageing” because what im obviously talking about here is the bodies decay rate after sexual maturity.
It starts right after sexual maturity if i remember correctly.
The only reason why death seems “more apropriate”?
Truely, attitudes about death are subjective.
It all depends on culture, religion, and individual character.
The only way curing ageing/atrophy would be impossable is when people say “it feels necessary, fitting, the natural course.”, and then do not persue the removal of it through genetics or nanotechnology to name a few.

When i say “fear of death” you must remember that “fear” is the will to fight or avoid somthing. “Fear of death” is your will to prevent it.
Dont come to me and tell me “fear of death” is wrong,
but excessive fear surely is impractical as you know.

out of curiosity once you stop the aging process does your brain still develop? like does your body get experience or is it stagnant? cause i find a lot of advantage in aging.
