Anonymousness = Bombness-ness?

I don’t know if any other threads have adressed this issue, but do you think that the anonymity of this internet forum “ILP” affects what you write?

I don’t know about you but I cannot see myself sharing some of the things I have with people in person…

I never saw myself as a “philosopher”… simply a wonderer… But here it seems there are no labels…

thoughts?

I am always thus!

There’s only a few people in real life I can talk about philosophy, psychology… etc

So its more of a release for me.

I don’t think I’m all that anonymous.

I’m about the exact same.

I tend to be fairly discreet about my Confucianism. I certainly won’t deny it if asked, but I like to keep it on the DL. In the west, all it is really known for is rampant sexism (we’re working on it) or Charlie Chan (you racist bastard). In the east, it is associated more with pre-modern thinking and it, well, fairly quaint. Either way, it leads to awkward moments.

Better not to deal with it at all and phrase the ideas in a different manner. The ideas themselves are less likely to be pre-judged that way.

I feel a certain sense of boldness in this forum… Perhaps too much so…

I do have a few friends whom I can converse philosophically with but for the most part they fall short of interest…

Which led me to google the word “philosophy”…
