I work between 2 and 7 hours a day, depending on my schedule for a total of around 24 hrs/week. I make (in total after tax) about a billion and a half a month.
You know you’ve made it when they take more from taxes than you receive. 52%… fucking ridiculous!
Flat tax all around… why should I pay more and pay a higher percentage?
One job, about fifty-ish hours per week, although that will probably go up a bit. I’m about 80% likely to run the kitchen of a new restaurant being opened by my employer in a month or so- I’m just waiting to see the details and decide if I wanna do it. Then all bets are off where hours are concerned.
I have three jobs. I play piano at a jazz club on the weekends, teach piano during weeknights, and I write. I compose/arrange most of the music for my students and just finished a novel a year ago, which is the reason for ocd-editing here at ILP. Addictions die hard.
I am a graphic artist, but fell into music to support my 20 year old daughter who bleeds me dry. I just finished putting her four older bros through college…
I kid a lot about being a pampered suburbanite - but I work. Believe me, I work…
Well yeah, it is not just about how much you make, but how much you make WHERE. If you can live well on a haypenny then the living well is all that matters.
What sort of work do you do? I am going to guess that you are a salesman. Have you accumulated that much vacation time over the course of several years?
