I used to think this too. However, I have seen that the media is not “left vs right” except in the propaganda and worldviews they push to brainwash the populace. In fact they are all owned and controlled by the same people who use media as one way to divide and conquer.
Left vs right has become an ideological weapon, a kind of meme even. It really makes little sense anymore in our current political landscape, yet it persists. Neolibs like Clinton and Obama succeeded in destroying the original political left, while neocons like Bush almost destroyed the original political right and now Trump is putting the final nails in that coffin. They are all part of the same System. Political division is manufactured discontent at this point in our society. It used to mean something, it no longer really does.
Left and right are both elitist, technocratic, global neoliberal and hyperfinancialized capitalism worshipping the richest people and corporations on the planet. Left and right both do it, and both think they are “against the elites” and “for the people”. It’s a bit embarrassing to be associated with people that ignorant, but that’s just the world we now live in. Most people are like this, but if you stop paying attention to them and start looking for the better people out there, the more sane ones who can see through parts of the matrix, things do get easier.
The modern democrats in America are not “left wing”. They are neoliberals. It is important to see the difference.

We have the constitutional right to bear arms equivalent to the military to overthrow it if its corrupt directors use them against us & our long-time neighbors they exile once they refuse to act like the slaves imported when America was supposedly “great”… but whatevs.

The situation is designed to escalate. They want both sides killing each other so they can start martial law. This is not hard to see.
Both sides needs to calm down, but that is not likely to happen. A consequence of team sports politics and being unable to see what is going on under the surfaces… people become very easy to be emotionally controlled on both sides. It is amazing to me that more people do not see through what is happening.

What if everyone tried steelmanning the position of the other side? Then we might come to some common agreements and see who the real enemies are. But people on both sides would rather be emotional and tribal, enjoying the strong emotions and feeling like they are the victims righteously engaged in a noble quest for truth and the good. Both sides feel that way. What does that tell you?
Obama and the Democrats never expected to lose another election. They certainly did not expect President Donald Trump. If they had foresight, they would have opened the border to 30 million illegals during Obama’s term, without question. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi firmly believed they had enough voter fraud to keep them in power indefinitely.
They were wrong, hence the Leftist Trump Derangement Syndrome today.
Furthermore, the cowardly Republicans only saw the benefit of illegal immigration in Farmwork and low-paying jobs. They did not have the balls to use them for illegal voting. Their cowardice, is also much of the reason US is coming apart at the seams.
Get it through your thick skulls, Leftists, you DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to assault Federal Officers. You should obey commands from the Police. You should not resist arrest.
