There are different ways to engage with him. I agree it’s useless and self-abasing to argue points of fact with him, because I’ve never gotten the impression that he is open to having his beliefs changed by facts.
But I do think it’s useful to engage with how he’s thinking about these things – not engaging at the object level, but at the meta level. Even if its content is not philosophy, its structure becomes an object of philosophy when we make the discussion about the ways it falls short.

ICE is actually very soft compared to most police. Most police would not tolerate hordes surrounding them, blowing whistles and shouting profanities at them and most police would arrest people/throw them to the ground for that. ICE is very soft compared to most police.
