Alright. Then I’ll opt for the “something” as opposed to “someone”.
That there should be some sort of law or moral that guides politics/economics regardless of personnel. The law that murder is illegal for example persists despite whoever happens to be judge. However, this is basically democracy at present, governments putting forward policies, people voting for who they want, then those policies being pursued. The problem is is that everyone is in everyone else’s business. I’m talking globalism here. Politically, economically, they’re all tangled up with each other. Maybe those strands need breaking. Maybe the draw-bridge needs lifting.
Once Everything organic is actively and effectively viewed, by the technocracy, as Machines that can and should be Always improved, we reach a Point where Everything - us, nature ‘nature’ even non-organic matter - can be part of Machines, likely AIs in the end. The singularity is reached when every molecule, in the solar system, say, has been made part of either an energy source for or the AI or AIs that make up the rest of the matter. This has been proposed by some writers and even some scientists as one possible outcome. It certainly seems possible, if not likely. But barring such an outcome we can already see that many Environments - at least the solids - are Machines or treated like Machines - many suburbs and Agricultural areas are like this. Gene modification in humans and transhuman Changes are moving along and this is certainly the direction very powerful actors in society would like to ever increase. Everything is a patentable Product, including us.
Look up ‘technology’, ‘advancing’, ‘singularity’, ‘take over’ and ‘human existence’ in the dictionary. I’m sure that you are smart enough to figure out how incompatible all those words are.
You don’t bother thinking anything through and you don’t care and therefore you waste everybody’s time. A Roleks ad is more useful.
Though I understood what he meant from his first mentions. I did hit the idea in Science fiction first, but it is gathering steam amongst techies out there.
Well, I agreed with this thread. I understood what he meant. So when I read your posts, it struck me that his posts were ok and intelligible. Not that you should know it but I take him to task all over the Place for his ideas, but some of them I agree with. As it turns out he was saying something that made sense and your objection that those terms could not be used together was not correct. Further I Think people are pretty blind to the technocracy, so I am likely to support criticism of it and give it more slack. People seem not to notice what is happening and what is being openly planned. They don’t seem to notice the philosophical implications of what is happening and how these ideas may affect their Children and grandchildren. Right now they are trying to patent human genes. Corporations try to patent plants - I mean, naturally occuring ones. The % of soy beans that were GM plants shifted incredibly fast from 0 to most in the US. Government oversight is in a revolvling door with industry. Industy via the government attacks non-patentable medicine: iow alternative medicine. This is not nice guys protecting us from scams, this is Corporate greed not caring if something works that they cannot Control and sell to us. Nature is being damaged by the way we use it, yes, and also by the pollution from industy, yes, but right now they are replacing nature, unnecessarily, very fast, and controlling any possible government intervention. We are, every year, evaluated more and more as broken Machines, with technological solutions. Genetic modification has just begun and already the amount of biomass that is GMed is incredible. The research does not support this being either safe or having the advantages industry claims it does, but they Control Money land and the state when it comes to these issues.
We are viewed by industry as modular, fallible Machines that can be improved, as Everything else on the planet is viewed. What can be sold is a much larger percentage of the Worlds ‘things’ ‘types of things’ and overall mass than it was just a year ago, and anything that can be sold, preferably with built in obselescence or subscription - like gm Products will be sold. The commons are going. EVerything is a potential Product, including your body and mine. They want to make you pay for existing and the trend is pretty strongly in the direction of this being the case.
I also see clear addictive behavior in relation to digital Products and industry has controlled the knowledge, just as the Tobacco industry did, that cellphones and wireless Technologies cause cancer and a host of other Medical problems. It is getting out, but they will fight this in just the same way the Tobacco industry did.
We are being dumbed down, lied to, and treated like energy sacks by them. There is an intense hatred of Life in all this, presented to us as the magical wonders of science.
