Oh yeah - Terry Pratchett is the Man!

Frank Herbert is great. Do you know that that he was only 46 when he died of cancer? Just imagine what else he might have written.

Orson Scott Card is excellent. If you enjoyed Ender’s Game I would highly recommend Ender’s Shadow. Its the first parallel novel I have ever read.

I mourn the death of Frank Herbert. I have read every Dune book in existance (which is actually quite a few). I am still waiting for the sequel to chapterhouse, the one which Frank Herbert died after making. Brian Herbert has been working with Kevin J Anderson to produce Dune prequels that I thought were also excellent. They have been talking about finishing the Dune series where Brian’s dad left off for some time now, but they have not done it yet. I think they are post poning that one because if they don’t do it well enough, a lot of fans will be upset.

Yes, Dune pretty much owned me for a while. I have all the books that are out even the prequels. A part of me wants to leave the end at Chapterhouse but then another part would love to see the conclusion. I just hope that Herbert left some detailed notes on what he planned because i want a Frank Herbert ending not Herbert/Anderson (although they did well with the prequels.)
