You can’t have functional Capitalist societies when everything is a Bureaucracy. Boomers will complain about the decline of society, specifically gyms and recreational centers going out of business. They may claim that the cause is because of mobile phones or videogame consoles. Mobile phones are garbage, but I am not convinced they are the only cause of this.
The decline of society is caused by lack of access to capital in newer generations. A new person cannot one day suddenly decide to make a gym. There is also a lack of land access in new generations. In 1860, about 90% of Americans were farmers. In 2025, 1.6% of Americans are farmers. No farmers no land owners. Only city slickers with no land and no capital.
Someone cannot just go on Kickstarter and demand half a million dollars to start a gym. They would probably get 0 dollars after waiting months. The only people that get Kickstarter donations are dark triad extroverts that are socially popular. Or they have secret political connections or connections with the elite establishment.
It’s also Bureaucracy. Even if a GenZ has capital, they are terrified of starting a gym or recreational center. Its all this suing culture. Someone trips on their own shoelaces and gets a concussion. Then sues them for a million dollars. Some idiot sued for spilling hot coffee on herself. Its this oppressive Bureaucracy culture that is making GenZ fail at life. We don’t have GenZ innovating or making great accomplishments like boomers who would build gyms and recreational centers. They say its a land of freedom and capitalism, but its just a land of red tape and bureaucracy and corporate monopoly. Look at shopping malls, even those are failing.
I will close this with this following quote:
“From its earliest appearances, bureaucracy has carried a distinctly negative connotation. An 1815 London Times article, for example, declares: “. . . it is in this bureaucracy, Gentlemen, that you will find the invisible and mischievous power which thwarts the most noble views, and prevents or weakens the effect of all the salutary reforms which France is incessantly calling for.””
