At the moment all K-14 instructors now have to pass an examination to teach. At the moment this includes me. Ouch. Back to the books.

the praxis 2 plt wasn’t too bad… you do have to know a lot of teaching theory though… I recommend getting the study guide they sell with the test, it practically gives you the test beforehand…

Bush has bit the K-12 teacher’s hard in the ass and they are finally like trying to teach and not just pass students through the system. Students, are not allowed to earn a high school diploma unless they pass the proficiencies.

so the funding cuts ive heard left wing whackos whine about are overstated? why did the marketing department of our government decide to pay some dude hundreds of thousands of dollars to talk about how great no child left behind is?

what about kids who for some strange phsychological reason arent good at standardized tests? what about paying succesfull schools more money than failure schools? dont the failure schools need the money? do teachers generally not hate what dubya has done? im curious.
