Apple or PC?
I gotta buy a new laptop and I dunno man! Everything looks the same to me.

I need to buy some slippers - the big fluffy one’s that look like feet…? Or some safe reliable monogrammed ones…? I just don’t know…

Now Tab those are personal choices and not technical. Whatever kind of slippers that you get a nice pair of Buttless Chaps would go great with them I’m sure.

If you are just going to use the thing for general computing and the occasional purchase of some cool program then I would get the best PC that you can. That’s because at least in the US the own the market for retail sales and so you can easily buy stuff.
Apple tends toward people in graphic design, so many of those kinds of programs are made just for the apple.
Basically, I do not see too much difference in performance between the two. However, if you want to install a new device on either machine, then I would pick the PC for that. Apple’s are rather vague in that department as I see them being made for folks that will never touch the computer.
I would buy a PC if I were you. Apple’s are good at certain things, like multimedia work and the like, but overall I think pc’s have the better software support and personally, I can actually decode the error messages and figure out what’s wrong myself. Might not be able to fix it myself, but I know what’s wrong at least.
I have soft green towling slippers with fairies embroydered onto them. I think they would look sweet on you Tab. I can put them in a package and send them to you if you like?

Apple also doesn’t use microsoft - grrrrr (a big plus)…and apple is just so sexy…but since I’m not sleeping with it, I think I can let it go.

Which brand is the right one? I have a dell desktop, a great machine, really great. But dell is more expensive than most others, is it worth it? What about a sony or an HP or a… I dunno, there are a million to choose from…argh…

I will include a pair of medium black high gloss buttless chaps. They will clash horribly with the slippers, but that’s the idea.

As for computer, Dell is okay, but HP is usually good too. I don’t quite trust the Sony’s yet. My friend had one give out on him and he continued having problems after getting it replaced. But usually you can just compare stats and prices and figure it out. Most brands are at least okay, but I have seen good stuff from Dell and HP, so I can definitely recommend both of those.
I’ve always used HP. I’ve had to prevail upon their tech support a couple times and they were fantastic.
I feel the same about Dell tech support, especially with my laptop. Oh, and I am very fond of my fuzzy slippers too.
I have a dell notebook… I can’t even express how much I love it.
Then again… I’m somewhat of a computer nerd.
PC is prolly the best if you’re not really into computers… they are just easier in terms of conpatibility and stuff, even though windows is a fucking hell agent.
But hey… Liquid go to stardock.com/products/windowblinds/ you can download different windows skins that will make you computer look like anything you want… mine looks just like a mac right now ( got some icon packagers and stuff too) even though it’s clearly a dell. It’s the best of both worlds… so long as you don’t mind sparing a bit of CPU

You’ll be pleased to know I eventually went for a rather fetching pair of sporty Nike slippers - with no-slip tread. And Red PVC buttless chaps. Now hanging out on street corners picking up passing trade. Was propositioned by a portly chap, who apparently was a Psychiatrist, coming out of a porn-shop with his pockets full of school-girl bondage mags, but turned him down. Even a man-whore like me has his standards…

It really doesn’t make any difference which brand of machine you buy since it will be obsolete before you buy it. There are only two things to consider:
- The best features you want for the money spent.
- MOST IMPORTANT. Service. Local hardware repair is critical. When you drop the machine and break that little thingy, can it be repaired locally, or does it have to be shipped around the world three times? Software problems mean 2 or 3 hours listening to elevator music on the phone - an irritation. Hardware problems that take six months to get fixed and returned - a problem.
Additionally, you can shop for the best buy you can find, and the day after you plunk down the cash, someone will have a machine with more or better features for less money.
