If you want to become a part of the Christian community you need to first understand the basics of Christianity. You may be wondering as to how to start on the new path to become a true Christian. Am I wrong or right? Tell me.

I think it’s more important to understand what need in you Christianity serves in the first place - to understand the nature and origins of that need. The basics of Christianity, to me, are not about Christianity, but about human condition.
If you want to become part of the Christian community, I don’t really think you need to understand anything. You just need to say things like ‘I love Jesus’ and ‘Jesus loves everyone’ and stuff like that. They’ll welcome you with open arms, you’ll probably even get a good Christian wife without needing to say much more or understand anything.
