"Christian perspective" anyone?

'Course, Issac’s error was thinking that that is not what democracy means.

And exactly why so many philosophers have been against democracy.

What in this hell does any of that have to do with Christendom or even democracy? Isaac Asimov was a Socialist conspiracy theorist and novelist. Unfortunately, he was on the side of the conspirators.

BLASPHEMY!!!
HANG THE ROGUE!!!

How dare he insult the memory of the greatest science writer and second greatest science fiction writer ever.*

  • as per the Asimov-Clarke Treaty of Park Avenue

I read his books.
Gene Roddenberry was better.

I just puked into my own asshole. Twice.

I actually don’t read much science fiction anymore…

But what about Kilgore Trout! Absolute genius!

You all are full of shit. Frank Herbert is the best science fiction writer of all time. He created, in an agreed upon fashion, the greatest science fiction novel and series ever, i.e. Dune.

Mhyeah… not my piece of sandworm cake…

Too deep for you, I guess.

Now that’s dry humour!

Herbert was better… I’ve done a shitload of background research on him, tracking down places hes been, etc. One of the best philosophers of the 20th century, and its top sci fi writter. Which reminds me, I gotta go and make a retarded troll post on a renegade herbert site.

Gentlemen, using vulgarity is unecessary to discuss any philosophical topic, unless, of course, you have nothing intelligent to say. It’s still a very poor filler to describe things that you have no vocabulary or discernment to verbalize. I can sum up in one sentence what I have just read on this page:

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” Romans 1:22 [The Bible]

How about we do have a discussion on this rather than the science fiction writers, etc. What do you say, guys?

My husband sent me this–his computer is on the second floor; mine is on the first:

Doesn’t this come pretty close to both the “Christian perspective” and the American definition of Democratic Capitalism and a Free Market Economy?

Sorry, he gave it no citation.

I don’t think so. Christianism is probably going to be used at some point to validate it, but the idea of parceling out the world is an individualist one if held by an individual, a tyrannical one if held by the ruling body of a nation-state.

But countries already do it, by setting up National Parks, Nature Preserves, a three-mile off-shore claim on the seas around them and anything on those sea-bottoms. Or is it more than a three-mile limit?
