Upon realizing how much our appearance effects others – I’ve been considering appearance a lot more.
How much do you think the colors that we wear effect others and self?
I think there’s substance in what they’re saying. I remember reading about some scientist who found that football (yes, football, not American football 
) players who wear red play slightly better than ones who wear blue. And that green is “restful for the human eye” very believable, as it’s the colour of nature. Btw, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that, in our layed-out spectrum of colours, green is the central colour.
Coulours have a very strong psychological influance on us. Coulours are some of the oldest mediums/materials for humans to express themself. An good example is Goethes “Farbenlehre”. But there are other coulour theories, which investigated the psychologic influence on humens. These theories are of very big importance for all painters, publicity creatives etc.

I think it’s definitely based on something, and very interesting, but I wonder if it’s more the result of built-up social tendencies and associations or of biologically programed reactions.
