Well, I just don’t like the stigma that has been placed on the word.
But I do like that interpretation of it - Holy as being Whole - holistically sound and harmonious. I know you like that word (harmonious)
“Sin” itself is a Germanic word and wasn’t used in archery. Just good old-school Saxon morality. The Greek/Hebrew words translated as sin in the Bible do mean missing the mark, though… It’s a pretty Greek concept, really, putting murder, rape and cheating on a par with miscalculating your arithmetic. 
AAMOI here are my 10 commandments:
- Though shalt not mix grain and grape
- Though shalt not cheat on your girlfriend, unless its part of the relationship
- Women are always right even when they are wrong
- Chances are if you have to think about something too often and too much its probably just wrong
- People are dicks, get used to it
- Lying cheating and stealing are pretty low acts. But hell sometimes they are necessary.
- Don’t kill people it’s kinda rude unless they are going to kill you

I would say part of the problem is that if we actually new or thought we new a number of times we could break a commandment and still get in heaven then, people would all start doing just that amount of evil, and isn’t the worst thing doing evil because you think you can get away with it?
