Perhaps, but noticing is possibly fundamental? If analogously we think of the experiencing observer as the eye of perception and centre of focus, then an ability to change that and aim it at various things which pass through the mind, is a freedom to choose.
The brain can of course override that somewhat.
Thats not free will, your eyes are simply shutting themselves. Freewill cannot fundamentally exist, it is a logical nonstatement.

There is no such thing as struggle, just a movement of molecules that move in shapes and dances that you associate with the word struggle. I could argue that almost anything is a struggle.

And if the majority of the population is either to enslaved or apathetic to stop torturing dogs and animals, then yeah, its the best thing to nuke them, to lessen the dogs pain. Free will doesn’t enter the picture, its simply following the equation which would be best for minimizing the chances of rebirthing as shit lives.

Free will is a false concept no such thing. Ai dont have free will and neither do humans and robots.
like I said, I beg to differ: free will can only rise within when taking responsibility for all sufferings and address them at his own level. The One is the Whole and otherwise, in other words. Free will isnt a false concept, it is what societies have taught and sold as an utopia to further governance. It is not because the truth is being concealed or distorted that it doesnt exist. Just like today, after 4000 years, most still accept the scourge of war, yet do not see anything wrong with the 12-15 billion poured into AI weaponry. That is what I meant by the ability to notice/assess… or not. Nuke china, right.
A thinker like J.Krishnamurti really hit the nail. That is the type of thinking that I follow as guideline.

I don’t believe all creatures are sentient, therefore I was never inside their bodies, therefore I am not responsible for all sufferings. I am the Builder class, not Animal class. But I care about the animal class, and that is why somethings which are built have to be either refurnished, or destroyed. China has grown out of proportion and has become too sturdy to refutation. It’s getting out of control, and must fall, like Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities of old, before it becomes too powerful and enslaves the rest of the world in it’s dark cloud of despair. A city that tortures animals as a pastime and has the most fascist laws and child slaves, and polluted waters of red cannot be allowed to coexist. It must be severed before its disease is spread any further. The citizens have lost control and need a way out. Beside that they just talk funny.
