I agree. I believe in god but i dont know what god i believe in. My belief in god is scientific - various events and circumstances have led me to believe in a god. This is not dasein, but various events which occured which i have deemed to be unnatural.
i have very little faith in faith, i believe neitzche was correct about faith, it is a delusion. it is the opposite of science. science = evidence > conclusions. faith is just conclusions without evidence. you need to have faith the bible is true or you need to have faith there is no god. i dont fault any atheist for their faith there is no god, i’ve had a unique series of events which led me to believe in god by the evidence, not by the faith. if someone wasn’t given these events then they would have to believe in god only through faith. as for my beliefs i dont know what god is the real god, could be abrahamic, could be zeus, could be aliens, could be hindu gods, could just be the matrix idk.

If someone asks “what is the meaning of life” it is probably because they don’t have the tools to properly form a question. So really what you are trying to figure out is what is the question they are asking. Half the confusion comes from trying to understand what it is they are asking.
Its like, if 1. someone solves what consciousness is, if 2. someone definitively proves how the universe began to exist, and if 3. someone explains gravity, quarks and atoms, then they’ve got it made. They are complete and they’ve answered the big questions.
