Most of them are probably bots.
Some are the same person playing with different personnas. Some drop in occasionally, some are just because a person forgot who they were and had to reregister as someone else. And some have moved on and are no longer active. But at any rate; Even though its a dysfunctional group here, its a good group. Happy 10,000! =D> =D> =D>
