I am unvaccinated, never got the Covid19 shot. During the lockdowns I traveled six thousand miles driving breaking the whole shelter in place. I worked three years straight in very public spaces throughout the lockdowns.
When they were trying enforce Covid19 work passes and visas I told everyone to go to hell enjoying almost two years of unemployment after that.
How am I still alive? Why didn’t I die?
Am I some kind of unvaccinated super mutant? I survived the mostly deadly pandemic in the world unvaccinated.
Imagine being so ignorant not to know the covid jabs killed millions of people just in America alone, and do not even confer immunity. The protective status of the jabs only showed up in very elderly people and only at the margins, so it might make sense for an 85 year old to get it since they will die soon anyway and their immune system is very weak so they are extra vulnerable to “covid” (a glorified flu). But for everyone else, no.
How many people do you know who got very sick or died after getting the jab? I know a lot. Three I know personally who died from it, many others who got very sick including blacking out and collapsing, numbness in their hands to the point they could not feel them (blood clots), a blood clot in the leg that affected their ability to walk, and “long covid” that appeared after the jab and made them sick with no energy for half a year at least.
Then there are the miscarriages that resulted from the jab, but facebook was diligent to remove a group of thousands of moms sharing their stories about it so people like Carleas can stay safe and comfy in their bubble of ignorance. I remember telling a friend who was pregnant not to get the jab, she laughed at me and got it anyway. Then she had a miscarriage.
Trust me, if you already know the truth as many of us do, and which is continuously misdirected and covered over by the institutions and major media companies, don’t bother trying to convince others who don’t get it. It already happened and they are still clueless. It’s not exactly like they will wake up one day and go “oh, wow, I was wrong!”
When I said liberals / democrats worship the largest corporations on earth, I was not exaggerating. The covid jab issue is just one very good example. They do not “trust science”, they do not care about risks or logic or the realities of what is happening or the reports from real people about what happened to them and others they know. All they care about is obeying authority.
There were a lot of fucky things going on, but the biggest fucky thing was the global pandemic, and things actually were very weird and counterintuitive because it’s been three generations since the last pandemic and no one knew what they were doing. There were a ton of failures, plenty of poorly reasoned decisions, plenty of bad actors (and well-intentioned actors who lost sight of the bigger picture). But the basic story is well supported by data from independent sources.
And mRNA vaccines are possibly the most important scientific breakthrough of the millennium. It’s tragic that they arrived in an era of manufactured distrust.
Do the math man, that story isn’t at all unexpected. The case fatality rate was 2-3% in the US. It killed ~1.3 million people, but it wasn’t a death sentence. And vaccines had a clear effect on its toll:
I’m glad you didn’t die, and I hope you didn’t spread it to anyone who did.
This is just false, and you can’t provide a credible source to support it.
Here’s a study from South Korea finding 664 severe adverse events following 38,828,691 vaccine doses, of which 291 died (they don’t attribute cause, they are just tracking adverse events). Doses aren’t people, but let’s charitably say that each person got three doses. That’s .0007%.
Here’s a US study that found “no–increased risk was found for non-COVID-19 mortality, all-cause mortality, and cardiac-related mortality following the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine”.
As a matter of public policy, the government should encourage as many people as possible to get vaccinated, because people who won’t die from a disease can still spread it to those who do.
Dying after getting the jab and dying because of getting the jab are different things.
All evidence against your beliefs is propaganda. One neat trick to never have to change your mind!
Well the data shows correlation I’ll give you that. But you have to admit, that Fauci is an untrustworthy looking little fanny—scientific fact.
And it’s not just that, there is a clear investment trail which leads from the NIH to Wuhan, where they were studying (and modifying) exactly that type of virus, but it came from a nearby wet-market? They were very quick to assert that..
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) provided funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) indirectly through a grant awarded to the U.S.-based EcoHealth Alliance , which conducted research on bat coronaviruses. Between 2014 and 2020, EcoHealth received approximately $3.7 million from NIH, with nearly $600,000 distributed to the WIV. This funding supported research into the potential for bat coronaviruses to infect humans, including experiments involving genetically modified viruses.
At the very least, I believe it escaped. Was it engineered? Who knows. The general consensus is no, but there have been many papers stating the opposite, that it had inserted markers. I’ve never seen it “proved” that wasn’t the case, just expressed in terms of likelihood.
Lots of people got very rich(er). Fact.
Many academics and medical professionals were effectively silenced. Fact.
Most research at that time was not to achieve reduction of function, but gain of function. Fact.
This tin-foil hat is staying firmly on until I hear something solid..
There is extensive political and public controversy around Anthony Fauci, but no investigation or scientific assessment has produced clear, widely accepted proof that he was professionally “incompetent” in managing the U.S. COVID response. Instead, you have partisan allegations of incompetence; evidence of some real missteps and changing guidance under uncertainty; and, at the same time, substantial evidence that many of his positions were consistent with mainstream infectious‑disease science and sometimes even measurably helpful.
In congressional hearings in 2024, Fauci defended his record, arguing that many major decisions (school closures, distancing, etc.) were multi‑agency calls, not his alone, and that some guidance (like 6‑foot distancing) was based on pre‑existing knowledge of droplet spread rather than randomized trials, hence his remark that the rule “sort of just appeared.” This isn’t unusual.
When I was working, a house I was managing had a serious outbreak of scabies, which nobody had experienced and even the dermatologists were uncertain at first. It took some time for us to be competent in dealing with the problem and the measures involve a lot of work. Some of the staff caught it too, but fortunately, not everybody. We managed, but it was one hell of a fight.
Looking back, did I as manager do everything right? No. But I was also going by what the experts were telling me and even they were unsure. I think we have to accept that we do not live in a perfect world where we find a solution for every problem, and it doesn’t have to be someone’s fault.
Bob, I’m not blaming him for the response. What I want to know, is why the NIH was funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan prior to the outbreak:
In May 2024 , NIH Deputy Director Lawrence Tabak testified before Congress, confirming that NIH funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) through its grant to the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance .
This research, conducted between 2015 and 2019, involved creating chimeric bat coronaviruses by combining genetic material from naturally occurring bat viruses with other viruses (e.g., SARS and MERS).
The modified viruses showed significantly enhanced replication —up to > 10,000 times greater in humanized mice—raising concerns about increased > pathogenicity, though the viruses were not related to SARS-CoV-2.
Despite this, NIH and NIAID officials , including Anthony Fauci , previously denied funding such research, stating the work did not meet the narrower regulatory definition of gain-of-function research involving potential pandemic pathogens.
However, multiple scientists , congressional investigators, and watchdogs have concluded that the work crossed the line into gain-of-function research, and EcoHealth Alliance was found to have violated reporting requirements .
As a result, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)suspended funding to EcoHealth Alliance in May 2024 and initiated debarment proceedings due to failures in oversight and compliance.
Yes, there are ongoing allegations around the management of his office, inconsistent messaging, and the EcoHealth/Morens matter that critics treat as evidence of incompetence or worse.
But if you mean “clear, broadly accepted professional or legal finding that he was unfit or grossly incompetent in his role,” the answer is no: despite multiple hearings and investigations, he has not been formally found incompetent by courts, inspector‑general reviews, or the broader scientific community.
There is no definitive proof that Anthony Fauci deliberately lied under oath or to the public during the COVID pandemic. Critics point to apparent contradictions in his statements, particularly on masks, vaccines, and gain-of-function research, but Fauci and his defenders consistently explain these as evolving science, imprecise definitions, or decisions made by others, not intentional deception.
I could have been accused of “lyiing” during the scabies outbreak because I changed my position a few times, but nobody did that because we all knew that it was new to us.
You’re engaging in gymnastics now Bob, and I’m not talking about masks and vaccines anymore, I’m talking about gain-of-function research exclusively.
They were performing gain-of-function research, without a doubt, on “chimeric bat coronaviruses”. Those viruses might not have been directly “related” to SARS-Cov-2, but they were certainly in exactly the same category, and to assert that SARS-Cov-2 originated in a wet-market when exactly that type of well funded research was happening nearby was a hell of an assumption to make..
Go here and tell me if you can find any clarity or concensus that it didn’t originate from the lab:
All I know is:
Some people got much richer.
The lab wasn’t even mentioned at the start, let alone the fact the NIH funded it via the Ecohealth Alliance.
Questioning the origins inevitably ended in widespread ridicule by the media, even for otherwise highly respected academics and professionals.
Fauci lied about the gain-of-function research, it took place and he was well aware of it.
It seems to me that medical professionals like yourself don’t want to believe any of this could be true, because it has extremely frightening implications for the integrity of the whole profession.
If this was a natural turn of events, and the above is mere coincidence, then I’m going to start playing poker—I can feel a royal flush coming on.
SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) glycoprotein furin cleavage site is a key determinant of SARS-CoV-2 virulence and COVID-19 pathogencity. Located at the S1/S2 junction, it is unique among sarbecoviruses but frequently found among betacoronaviruses. Recent evidence suggests that this site includes two additional functional motifs: a pat7 nuclear localization signal and two flanking O-glycosites. However, a systematic genus and subgenus analysis of spike protein sequences bearing this polyfunctional sequence domain has been missing. Here we report comprehensive sequence data to demonstrate that among spike proteins of genus Betacoronavirus and outside of the SARS-CoV-2 clade a fully analogous S1/S2 domain was found in only one other virus: the artificial MERS infectious clone MERS-MA30, described already in 2017, which was rationally selected from serial passage in genetically humanized mice. As the evolutionarily closest betacoronaviruses outside of the SARS-CoV-2 clade lack all its three functional motifs, these data extend—beyond natural evolution and zoonosis—the current view on SARS-CoV-2 pre-pandemic origins by presenting the analogous S1/S2 MERS-MA30 sequence domain as a precise molecular blueprint for SARS-CoV-2.
It isn’t a game of poker, though, because nobody wins when a virus is on the loose that we are not prepared for.
Medical professionals don’t look at who is to blame, but how to combat the problem. Once a disease is spreading, the only thing important is to cut off the potential cause by whatever means possible. With less dangerous viruses, we arm ourselves with masks, gloves and disinfectant, but we know that if it is in the air, we are not going to be fully successful. With COVID, it seemed to be transmitted by our breath, which means those measures are not the ultimate answer. You may assume that you can do without, but the fact is, where measures were not adopted (East Germany), there were very high numbers of deaths.
That is where a vaccine comes in, which enables the body to develop antibodies against the virus and fight from inside the body. With every medicine, however mild, the chances of side effects and interactions with other medications are always a problem. There are also complications with pre-existing conditions, because you can’t test a vaccine under such circumstances against every known condition. The mistake, which I said at the time, was that the politicians were spreading the idea that this vaccine was completely safe.
People tend to think medicine is like fixing your car, and if it doesn’t work, someone’s to blame, but there are so many variables that cannot be fully anticipated. Some procedures are routine, and you can expect an outcome, but some procedures are risky, which is why medicines have a long package insert, and before you undergo surgery, you are informed about the procedure and the risks involved. In medicine, you always weigh the advantages against the disadvantages.
I recommend making backups of this research information, links get broken from time to time or disappear from certain sites as they try to cover things up:
So because you didn’t die then no one else did? Some people have natural immunity. I got the vaccine and one booster. Can’t even remember why now. Didn’t seem like a big deal. No side effects. I’ve never had covid either. Some people have had it dozens of times. Odd.
